PARTICIPATE IN THE MAJOR INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARCHITECTURE AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

“In a planet with finite resources and environmental services at the limit of its capacity (e.g. sand for construction, arable soil, concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, high concentration of NO2 and particles in the cities), persisting in a linear economic model of “extract-consume-discard” will not be feasible, so it is therefore necessary to change the strategic approach.” In Diário da República n.º 119/2017, Series II of 2017-06-22.

The International Council for Building (CIB) points to the construction industry as the sector of human activities that consumes the most natural resources and uses energy intensively, generating considerable environmental impacts. The need for action in this sector is therefore imperative, in order to implement low carbon trajectories for the national economy, leading to a development model based on the circular economy.
