SUSTAINABILITY

STORYWALL coverings are produced using an eco-efficient cork recycling process. In fact, 95% of the product is made up of natural cork grains, obtained by grinding up waste from the manufacture of natural cork stoppers, agglomerated with a polymer free of formaldehyde or solvents. STORYWALL is a contemporary collection of inspiring cork wall coverings with a focus on sustainability and design.

FEATURES

Designer duo Alzira Peixoto and Carlos Mendonça focused their attention on designing a contemporary collection of cork coverings that would inspire originality, innovation and design. To this end, traditional industrial techniques were integrated with new printing systems, resulting in a perfect symbiosis between the traditional character of cork and digital technology. With undeniably strong environmental credentials and excellent acoustic and thermal insulation properties, STORYWALL flooring makes spaces comfortable, while Granorte’s proprietary CorkGuard water-based finish offers excellent durability and easy maintenance. With a format of 300 x 300 x 4 mm, the tiles are very light and easy to install. The use of direct digital printing on the cork surface ensures that each tile retains the material’s unique natural aesthetic.
